Oh april Fool's day. The joys of having a party popper taped to my door and blowing up in my face. We celebrated it with enthusiasm again this year. Mom taped googly eyes onto all of the containers in the fridge. We did the classic snake in a jelly bean can trick. Sam put tape under the computer mouse so it wouldn't work and cut out paper bugs to put on the inside on the lampshade. I also put a rubber band around the "sprayer" on the sink so the handle was pushed down. When you turned on the sink if sprayed you. (Dad was the victim of that one) But the ultimate prank was me taping this picture onto the seat of my parent's toilet.
My mom stumbled down the stairs after staying up way too late watching a movie and turned on the light in the bathroom. She screamed. Loud. Very loud. Although she was terrified, she told me she felt proud for teaching her kids well. Ohhh. I love April Fool's day.
You are your mother's daughter! Her little Padawan learner for fooling! Love it. (at your house anyway, I don't know if I would love it at my own, I'm wimpy!)

ReplyDeleteYour great, great grandma Mitchell (my mom's mom) was the master of practical jokes. She came up with some doozies. Looks like you have a few of her genes!! Love your blog.
